PACE Wellness

I am a wife and mother to four amazing daughters. For as long as I can remember I've been passionate about health and fitness so becoming a dietitian was an easy career choice for me. However, over a decade into my career I found myself a bit lost. I loved working in geriatrics and learned valuable lessons daily from them but I felt I could help others at different stages in their lives. I began reading personal development books, practicing daily gratitude and striving to live each day with a positive attitude. I saw the positive impact my mindset and lifestyle changes had on my own children and I wanted to share that with others, but how?

One day while at a yoga class I had a lightbulb moment and knew the next path I had to take.

I followed my intuition becoming certified as a youth yoga instructor and fell in love with teaching yoga and mindfulness to kids. Wherever I could I would incorporate healthy eating and positive mindset into my classes and workshops.  To share my love of yoga with seniors I also became certified to teach chair yoga and now they too can reap all the benefits of a yoga practice!

From there I continued my journey and started my private nutrition practice. The seniors I

worked with inspired me to live with no regrets while the children I taught showed me how important it is to do what you love and have fun doing it. Hence PACE Wellness was born.

At PACE Wellness we have two major focuses. One is to support seniors live healthier and longer lives in their own homes. For many seniors their first interaction with a dietitian is when they move into a long term care facility. Many times they are already found to have nutritional concerns. Being able to provide nutrition services from grocery shopping, meal preparation to special diets and texture modifications while they are still living at home is vital to their overall health and well-being.

The second focus is to share yoga with children while instilling in them the importance of healthy, mindful eating, positive body image and self-care practices in order to lead long, happy lives!
